International boat show, Internautica 2014, closed its doors on Sunday, the 11th of May. During the last five days this year’s event was visited by 15.000 people. Approximately 150 exhibitors presented their products and services; the exhibition included around 100 boats.
This year’s, already 19th boat show featured a rich and diverse program. On Wednesday, 7th of May, the Opening day was initiated with the opening of “Green Avenue” within the Green Mobility project, and the opening of exhibition “The Magical World of Shells” by MEDITERANUM Institute for Revitalization of Mediterranean Culture Piran, traditional Blue Flag rising at Marina Portorož, organized by DOVES-FEE Slovenia and launch and premiere of Elan Impression 354.
Organizers successfully carried out Forum on Green Mobility and Related Technologies. The speakers were: Japec Jakopin, J&J Design and Seaway Group; prof. dr. Lučka Kajfež Bogataj, Nobel Prize winner and one of climate change research pioneers; Marko Longoder, Ministry of Infrastructure and Spatial Planning; Ivo Boscarol, aviator, inventor and visionary, company Pipistrel; Andrej Pečjak, one of the leading European experts for electric vehicles; prof. dr. Andreja Kutnar, assistant at University of Primorska; mag. Marjana Dremelj, Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy; and Andrej Brglez, traffic expert and author of Slovenian project Egozero.
The speakers elaborated on the possible solutions in reaching the objectives, as well as the role of green technologies in reviving Slovenian economy.
On Saturday, 11th of May, Internautica also hosted the Individual Blue Flag award ceremony for boat users and owners in Marina Portorož.
Internautica 2014 presented to its visitors the attractive RNF jet-ski freestyle show by Rok and Nac Florjančič, who performed and impressed the visitors with their incredible stunts.
Among numerous exhibited motor yachts, sports boats and sailboats, visitors could see the following Adriatic premieres: new Elan’s sailboat Impression 354 and Elan 320, 15-meter hybrid yacht of Greenline series, Cranchi Eco Trawler 53 Long Distance, Beneteau Oceanis 38, Absolute 52 and 40, Ferretti 690, Riva, Pershing 74, Bavaria, X-Yachts and Dufour Yachts.
On the 9th of May 2014, the central event site at Marina Portorož was the location of Exhibitors’ Evening with the Adriatic Boat of the Year 2014 award ceremony. Winners were selected by a ten-member jury. Nominees were competing in two groups, Motor Boats and Sailboats, as well as three special categories: Adriatic Product of the Year, Adriatic Personality of the Year and Adriatic Nautical Product of the Year.
The Green Mobility project was this year’s Adriatic Nautical Project of the Year winner, which inspires the organizers to prepare for next year’s Internautica, which will continue to support green energy and related technologies, as well as follow its path of continuous development, trend of growth, excellence and high quality.
