For the third year in a row, in cooperation with Internautica, magazines MORE and Navtika plus are organizing the Adriatic Boat of the Year 2015 competition. They will award the most interesting and innovative boats that reflect the spirit of the Adriatic Aquatorium, according to the Slovenian and Croatian jury of experts.

Adriatic Boat of the Year 2015 selection will include all boats that were manufactured and presented in the Adriatic region, from 1 January 2014 till 1 April 2015.

2. CRUISER OVER 41 UP TO 60 FEET
3. PERFORMANCE UP TO 40 FEET
4. PERFORMANCE OVER 41 UP TO 60 FEET

Motor Boats:

1. DINGHY
2. SPORT MOTORBOAT UP TO 20 FEET
3. SPORT MOTORBOAT OVER 21 UP TO 40 FEET
4. MOTOR YACHT UP TO 40 FEET
5. MOTOR YACHT OVER 41 UP TO 50 FEET
6. MOTOR YACHT OVER 51 FEET

Special Categories

+ ADRIATIC PRODUCT OF THE YEAR – motorboat or sailing boat manufactured in the Adriatic region (ITA, SLO, CRO, MN)

+ ADRIATIC NAUTICAL PROJECT OF THE YEAR – innovations, new technologies, ecology etc.

 
Scoring system: from 1 point to 10 points; every jury member can give a boat the appropriate number of points, thus it is not necessary that the best in the category receives 10 points. The highest number of points equals 1st place etc. In case two or more boats from the same category share the same number of points, the jury will conduct a parallel scoring among nominees with the same score from the first round of voting.
  
JURY OF EXPERTS
The Slovenian-Croatian jury of experts comprises ten members, five from each country.

Nikola Orešković

Independent designer and project manager, once employed with the Croatian Brodarski institut and Elan Power line boats. Author of numerous projects, among others Adriana 36.

Ozren Bakrač

Probably the most renowned Croatian skipper. Sailed around the world more than once. No boat is a mystery to him.

Đek Šurija

Judicial expert and skipper with a longstanding experience. A man, who knows boats from another point of view.

Braslav Karlić

Founder and editor-in-chief of the oldest and most renowned Croatian boating magazine. He sails on both motor and sailing boats.

Vedran Rožić

Executive editor with More magazine, in charge of sailing and motor boat tests. In the last five years only, he sailed on more than a hundred different boats.

Dejan Ravter

Editor-in-chief with Navtika plus magazine, an experienced journalist and editor of nautical magazines. The one with the most experience in sailing and motorboats in Slovenia.

Andrej Justin

Marine architect, author of projects, such as: Elan 23WA, Justin Ten, Maxi Jena, RC44 etc. He graduated from Westlaw Institute of Marine Technology, USA. He currently works in Slovenia.

Marijan Bauer

Retired journalist of daily newspaper Delo, former editor-in-chief with Slovenske novice, and currently the editor of Plus 50, supplement of daily newspapers Delo and Slovenske novice. As President of the Portorož Yacht Club, he brought Russel Coutts and the RC44 fleet to the Slovenian sea.

Jernej Jakopin

Co-founder of Seaway and partner at J&J Design studio. He graduated from Westlawn School of Naval Architecture, Connecticut. Jakopin designed projects for the greatest global boat manufacturers.

Jurij Korenc

CEO at Studio 37, President of IFBSO and Executive Director of the International Boat Show Internautica, with thirty years of experience in boating and navigation. A recognized expert and consultant in marketing and development of nautical brands.
